Snow removal operations begin on residential routes once per day when snowfall accumulation reaches four to six inches. We generally prefer to begin operations around 2 or 3 am when there is little to no traffic.  This early start time allows us to focus on clearing your driveway in a safe and efficient manner.  In some instances we have to change our start time due to the timing of the storm. In addition, after each major snow storm we follow up with a clean-up day where we arrive a little later at each driveway than usual resulting in fewer cars in the driveway.  The route in your area has one of eighteen pieces of equipment solely dedicated to it.  This allows us to be very responsive and avoid the traffic on Highway 50 and Pioneer Trail as we stay within this route. We also have back up equipment to ensure that you can always count on us. Our light-weight equipment blows the snow rather than pushing or piling.  Snow-blowing is a low-impact method of snow removal which leaves your driveway and yard looking great all year round.  We have a dedicated service staff and shop to maintain all our equipment.  In addition, our office is staffed seven days a week during snow operation days to answer your calls and respond accordingly.  Regarding pricing, we look at each and every driveway individually and then determine a fair, competitive, seasonal price.

Please contact our office by email via the free quote request located in the contact portion of this website or call our office to get a quote. We’ll happily send you a personalized no obligation Snow Removal Quote which outlines our service and answers many common questions. We also encourage you to look further on our website and enjoy our snow removal video.  Think snow!

Alpine Smith headquartersSnowblower-based
snow removal is an aesthetically pleasing method of snow removal. Our
snowblowers leave clean driveway edges and flat, evenly dispersed snow
throughout your yard. We do not leave behind dirty snow piles or unsightly
snow ramps.

Additionally, we are pleased to report that our small tractors consume
less than one-half (1/2) the amount of diesel fuel of our heavy-equipment
competitors. Subsequently, our tractors emit less than one-half (1/2)
of the emissions into the air.

Our tractors never venture off your paved driveway. Our snowblowers gently and evenly disperse snow across your property. We will never create unsightly snow piles and landscape-damaging snow ramps in your yard.

With ALPINE SMITH Inc.’s snowblower-based tractors, you can now landscape your home
and feel confident that it won’t be damaged by your snow removal
service. ALPINE SMITH, Inc. will install and maintain all necessary reflective snow stakes to
ensure that your driveway is cleared to its full width. Following the
completion of the winter season, we will remove all snow stakes.

Little or No Driveway Impact

Snowblowing is a low-impact method of removing snow. It is unquestionably
more ‘driveway friendly’ than the scrape-and-drag method used
in the past. Scraping causes cracks, which later fill with moisture, freeze,
expand, and cause driveway deterioration.

Driveways are not engineered to support heavy equipment and will eventually
crack and crumble under the weight of large tractors. For homeowners,
this often results in costly driveway repairs and annual driveway crack
sealing.  Our small, maneuverable tractors weigh less than 7,500 pounds each, not much more than a Chevy Suburban.
